War and armoured elephants are as OP as Chariots are after patch 7. You would think a couple of javelin men would be able to take a unit out, guess again! There is no real way of destroying a elephant unit, which is why most lobbys restrict them. Only real tactic is spamming artillery and having all aim at them, using all your ammo because they take 50 rounds to the body before falling, or mass cavalry charging which will result in all your cavalry lost. My elephant unit just ROFL stomped those pikes without breaking a sweat. Tested 1 armored elephant against 2 pikes. Took 5 volleys for 1 elephant to go zerk then 10seconds later I was able to control it again and finish off his army. Me and my friend tested the volley of fire test. Nothing works against war elephants and armoured elephants except very tight formations from 5+ units. Ignore all these people saying, 'Ranged cavalry works great' 'Onagars work great', ignore people who says a couple of volleys from archers firing fire arrows work great.
